Germanys Felix Loch successfully defended his gold medal in mens luge on Sunday at the Sanki Sliding Center in Sochi. Already owning gold from competition in Vancouver in 2010, Loch posted a combined four-run time of 3:27.526. That included a track-record third run of 51.613. "Im really overwhelmed. We have worked very very hard over the summer," Loch said. "[Coach] Georg Hackl and I are a superb team. He helps me a lot." "We experimented a lot over the summer and it paid off." Russias Albert Demchenko was unable to catch the defending Olympic champion, but snagged a silver medal with a time of 3:28.002. Italys Armin Zoeggeler became the most decorated mens luge athlete of all time with a bronze medal-winning time of 3:28.797 for his sixth medal in as many Olympic appearances. Zoeggeler eclipsed Lochs coach, Hackl, for the all-time mark with two gold, one silver, and three bronze over the Italians career. Canadas top slider was Calgarys Sam Edney, who finished in 11th with a combined time of 3:29.777. Edney will return to the luge track as part of the Canadian team relay squad, with competition beginning in that event on Thursday. Olympic rookies Mitchel Malyk and John Fennell, both 18-year-olds from Calgary, finished 26th and 27th overall, respectively. "I cant complain, its my first Olympics, its a new experience," Fennell said. "The amount of people that showed up for the race was unthinkable. Adidas Yeezy Vendita Italia . In Englands first game since its worst-ever World Cup showing, Roy Hodgsons side rarely looked like scoring against unambitious opposition and the breakthrough in the friendly only came when Raheem Sterling was tripped in the penalty area. After Mariota was pushed around by Stanford on Thursday, finishing 20/34 with 250 yards and two touchdowns in Oregons Title hope-crushing defeat, hes going to need a poor performance or two from the remaining frontrunners to have a shot at the most coveted individual trophy in college sports.Every night of the Stanley Cup playoffs, TSN hockey analyst and former NHL goaltender Jamie McLennan breaks down each goalies performance. Jamies number grades given are out of five, with five being the best mark. Marc-Andre Fleury, Pittsburgh Penguins (4) – Hes deep and his stick is out of position on the first goal, but he makes up for it with big saves on Stepan and Zuccarello in the first. He had big right pad saves on Girardi and Stepan, Sharp on Hagelin down wall, certainly kept his team in it as they gave up some high quality chances. He gave them a chance to win, but was outduelled by Lundqvist, who was simply outstanding. Henrik Lundqvist, New York Rangers (5) – He put on a show, was locked in the whole night. He made a great blocker save on Crosby, was good in tight on net plays as they crashed all night long. He had big saves on Kunitz and Neal in the second and huge saves on Martin, Neal and Malkin in-crease in the third. He simply stole the show. Corey Crawford, Chicago Blackhawks (5) - Best I have seen him play, he outstanding early on, especially on Granlund and Fontaine.dddddddddddd He had a big save on Fontaine on a breakaway, and fought off the rebound as well and then robs him again in the last five minutes of the second. He really elevated his play, timely saves that gave Chicago a chance to get their skill rolling. Great post play on the Coyle in the third while shorthanded and robbed Neiderreiter with less than six minutes left in regulation.  He was also outstanding in OT on Parise and Granlund. He stole the game for the Blackhawks. Ilya Bryzgalov, Minnesota Wild (5) – He had a very good start with big saves on Sharp and Toews early on, then no better save than the breakaway by Sharp, with Toews waiting for the rebound to keep it at 1-1. He had a great save on Kane with 3:20 left in third and a huge save on Hossa in OT; side to side play. He had no chance on the game-winner, it was a bad bounce off the glass. He gave them very good goaltending this series.  ' ' '
